Janvary creates Heirloom worthy pieces using 18K gold that can retain its original brilliance intact with proper care for generations even with everyday wear.
Since our designs are crafted using certified 18 karat solid gold every Janvary creation is not only hypoallergenic, but also holds its intrinsic value and can be endlessly reinvented and recycled.
Why does Janvary use 18k solid gold? you ask?
The perfect Gold to Alloy ratio of 18k makes it strong enough to hold diamonds securely for everyday use. 22k although higher in purity is softer than diamonds and is bound to lose structural integrity. 14k is another durable choice for diamonds however the higher alloy content makes it less hypoallergenic and the intrinsic value of the jewellery is propotionate to its gold content. Anything below 12k is not considered Gold in the UAE.
